How does iCloud sync work?
Use the same Apple Account on each device and enable iCloud for the app. Open the app on the device holding your places, then on your other devices. Changes can take time to arrive. Saved → Library options → iCloud sync shows diagnostic details. On Watch, look under Saved → Settings → iCloud sync.
Why don’t I see a shared place on my other devices yet?
In the upcoming sharing version, the Share Extension first saves to a local inbox. Open dine reminder to import it into the library. It can then sync normally. Confirm the address before saving and check that the signed build includes the sharing capability.
Can I use the app without location access?
Yes. Choose an area such as a city or neighborhood when searching. Nearby distance sorting and proximity alerts need location access. Permissions are managed in your device’s Settings.
How do nearby alerts work?
Alerts are optional and device-specific. Up to 20 eligible nearby places can be monitored at once. Open the app after travel to refresh coverage. Focus, silent mode, notification permissions, location accuracy, and system limits affect delivery.
How do I remove a saved place or my data?
Open the place and select Remove from library. Removal syncs to your other devices. The app retains sync history and tombstones to prevent deleted places returning, and backups may retain earlier data. For broader removal, review the app’s iCloud storage and device backups in Apple’s Settings. Reinstalling alone may not erase cloud data. Contact support if you need help understanding these controls.
Is it a subscription?
The planned App Store model is a $4.99 USD one-time download, with regional pricing shown by Apple. The app is still preparing for release. Purchases, billing, and refund eligibility are handled by Apple.
Does Siri work with every phrase?
The app exposes a Find and Save a Restaurant action to Siri and Shortcuts. Try the action in Shortcuts first. Siri availability and phrasing depend on the installed app name, device, language, account, and system settings.
